Rita Braga will present live her latest project that she's been developing during the 2 month residency at the Schaumbad. It's a minimal ukulele pop operetta and it combines science-fiction, a dream sequence and light hearted existencialism. The working title is “A Quantic Dream” and it will feature special guest performers: Dorit Chrysler, Martha Colburn (Videoprojektionen), Kalinka Kalaschnikow und Keyvan Paydar.

Rita Braga is a singer, performer and multi-instrumentalist from Lisbon, based in Porto. She performs solo and sometimes collaboratively an unusual repertoire of songs in over ten languages, as well as original compositions and soundtracks. Over the last decade she has toured across Europe, the US and in Brazil. She also has a background in the visual arts doing illustration and animation, acted in a silent horror/comedy/sci-fi film which is yet to be released, hosts unpredictable cabarets, graduated in Musicology. Rita is the founder of the label and events producer operation SOL 69. From time to time, she receives insight from cartoon personalities in her dreams (such as Bugs Bunny) on how to conduct her "career".
