Artist Talk with Rita Braga (St.A.i.R.) and Edda Strobl

Rita Braga (Lisbon, 1985) is a singer and multi-instrumentalist. She performs solo and sometimes collaboratively an unusual repertoire of songs in over ten languages. She has toured across Europe, the US and in Brazil. She has also a background in visual arts having experimented a bit with illustration and animation, hosted unpredictable cabarets and self releases her music.

Rita is a Syria Artist-in-Residence at the Schaumbad during September and October 2016, developing a “minimal ukulele pop operetta” that will be performed live on the 27th of October during "Weltübergang", an evening curated by Edda Strobl. Rita and Edda have met 10 years ago during a comics festival in Pancevo, Serbia.
