Hundred years ago, war was not only taking place on our doorstep, we were right in the middle of it. Refugees met in Switzerland and challenged the logic of warmongering society and the so-called reason with the means of art. National socialism stood in the wings, the women's movement was boiling, and machines started to revolutionize economy. The old conceptions of being human were put to the test. Never before in the history of Europe, there was such a rapid transformation of the human image, as well as social systems, economy, technology, and especially of thinking. Now, in the midst of global economic crisis, the apocalypse is ushered in many places. People from around the world flock to Europe and challenge our worldview. The financial system has been proved as quite absurd. The dwindling religiosity has been increasingly replaced by consumerism, and now also this new belief systems are faltering.
